Where is Abbott located?
Abbott's corporate headquarters is located in Lake County, IL, at Abbott
Park, a suburb 40 miles north of Chicago. Abbott also has many locations

hyperlink labeled “Forgot Password?” Click the hyperlink and follow the
instructions detailed there.

What if I have difficulty copying/pasting or attaching my resume to
my profile?
You will have the ability to either upload your resume from the computer you
are using, or copying/pasting directly into a form within the system. You may
update your profile as you see fit and may have up to five different cover
letters and resumes posted at any one time.

I was referred for a specific position and was not hired; will you
consider my resume for other opportunities?
We will consider you a candidate for any positions for which you directly
apply. In addition, if there are other positions we feel you might be
appropriate for, we will contact you directly to gauge your interest in that

How does the Professional Development Program work?
The Professional Development Program is a two-year rotational program with
four six-month assignments, allowing participants to gain knowledge on the
company as a whole as well as their discipline, all the while gaining
leadership, technical and interpersonal skills. Please visit our page on the

What different disciplines offer a rotational program?
Abbott offers PDP programs in the following areas:
- Engineering (EPDP ) - Plant Engineering, Product R&D Engineering,
Division or Corporate Engineering
- Manufacturing (MPDP) - Supply Chain Planning/Materials Management,
Operations Supervision, Project Management, Purchasing
- Quality (QPDP) - Plant Quality, Division or Corporate Quality Assurance,
Division or Corporate Regulatory Affairs
- EHS (EHSPDP) - Plant EHS Support, R&D Laboratory Safety, Industrial
Hygiene, Environmental Engineering
- Finance (FPDP)- Business Unit/Division level/Corporate level: financial
planning and analysis, cost and general accounting
- IT (ITPDP) - BSA, Development, Support, Quality, Business Intelligence,
Software Engineer, Network Security
- Commercial (MDP) - Field Sales, Marketing, Pricing, Commercial Operations,

Does the rotational program guarantee me a full-time job upon
completion?
There is no guarantee for a full-time position upon completion of the
Professional Development Program. However, upon completion, PDP participants
may apply to open positions.

What benefits are offered to PDPs?
PDPs are considered regular, full-time employees. Full-time employees at
Abbott are offered competitive benefits. While specific benefits and programs
