Abbott Receives Corporate Citizenship Award in China

At the 7th Annual China Corporate Citizenship Conference in Beijing, Abbott recently received several awards for its citizenship work, including the prestigious “2011 China Best Corporate Citizenship Award" for its overall responsible approach to business in China.
At the event, Abbott also was honored for its innovative Family Science program, which was held in nine cities in China in 2011. The company received a "Top 10 CSR Case Award" from the Multinational Enterprises Outstanding CSR Case Exhibition 2011, and received an honorary mention for the program from the School of Social Development and Public Policy at Beijing Normal University. Abbott's Family Science program actively engages primary students and their parents in learning about science and innovation through experiments and activities led by Abbott scientists and volunteers. The China Corporate Citizenship Conference is organized by the Corporate Citizenship Committee of the China Association of Social Works (CASW) in collaboration with local foundation and media partners, including Tencent Foundation and CCTV. The event was attended by numerous representatives from key government ministries and academic institutions, together with representatives from Abbott and other top companies in China.
